YOUTH-MED®
Youth Opportunities for Unparalleled Training in Healthcare, Medicine, Education, and Development
YOUTH-MED® is a year-round healthcare workforce development program that connects youth through early careerists to real clinical environments through mentorship, shadowing, interprofessional exposure, monthly programming, and experiential learning. Scholars explore diverse healthcare careers and gain firsthand insight into how healthcare actually works.
YOUTH-MED® is delivered by Help for Healthcare Professionals, Inc. (HHCP), a Georgia-based nonprofit, and has produced 71 alumni across Georgia.
Whether you're interested in nursing, medicine, public health, allied health, healthcare technology, or another healthcare profession, YOUTH-MED® provides real-world exposure that helps you explore your interests, develop valuable skills, and connect with experienced healthcare professionals.
Health Careers Awareness for Communities (HCAC)
HHCP brings healthcare careers directly to schools, community organizations, and youth-serving groups across Gwinnett County and beyond. Our facilitated sessions connect students and community members with real healthcare professionals who share their journeys, their fields, and what it takes to build a career in healthcare.
We come to you. If you are a school counselor, community organization, or youth-serving group looking to expose your students to healthcare career pathways, book a session with us.
Clara Barton Aspiring
Nurse Scholarship
HHCP's Clara Barton Scholarship Program supports aspiring healthcare professionals on their journey toward a career in service. We have awarded 17 scholarships to date - each one representing our belief that financial barriers should never determine who gets to heal.
Every dollar donated builds the fund for the next scholar. If you believe in the next generation of healthcare professionals, invest in them here.
